By David Rolfe, NHL.comThe CenterPoint energy storage business is poised to expand its offerings to a number of energy-efficient consumer products, the company announced today.
The company announced that its new business unit, CenterPoint Smart Home, will be joined by a new product group, Centerpoint Energy, which will offer a variety of products to the energy storage market.
The company said that the CenterPoint smart home product group will focus on energy-saving, smart energy solutions, smart thermostats, and home automation systems.
The new CenterPoint product group is led by the CEO of CenterPoint and will be led by former CenterPoint President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Schmitt.
CenterPoint has already been working with consumer products companies such as Amazon, Walmart, and Lowe’s, as well as small- to medium-sized companies, to create new products that use smart energy.
The CenterPoint products, as the name suggests, are designed to be energy-friendly.
The products will include energy-harvesting thermostat systems, energy-efficiency smart lights, energy harvesting LED lights, and smart lights.
The Centerpoint energy storage products, which are aimed at customers with a high-voltage energy demand, are already available in the U.S. market, but they will be able to be shipped to more countries, including Canada and Australia, as they begin selling in the United States.
